Secrets of Home Theater and HiFi Reviews the Original Swan Diva 4.1.

Our friends at Secrets talk favorably about the original Swan Diva 4.1, a great little floorstanding loudspeaker for music or home theater.

The 4.1 is in interesting little floorstanding monitor, and I like its full body and rich, open image. The dual 5.25″ / 135mm midwoofers share a “shaded” crossover, the lower driver crossing out lower and the upper driver going solo to the distinctive Diva 28mm Danish-style dome. In this way the 4.1 doesn’t suffer from the thin sound of a conventional small speaker, yet it keeps the pinpoint image and definition of a smaller monitor.

Owing to its full-height enclosure, the 4.1 also avoids the cost of a separate stand yet takes up no more floor space than a stand-mounted bookshelf monitor.

The 4.1 is a perennial favorite for both 2-channel sound and compact, high-quality home theater. Add a subwoofer (the Swan Sub10 pictured) and with its twin midbass driver’s high-temperature voice coils, it’s capable of some very high outputs.

The versatile 4.1 comes in book-matched genuine lacquered rosewood standard, with the economy 4.1BC in simulated black cherry offering identical performance for a savings of more than $200. Click back to The Audio Insider’s online importer-direct store for more.
