Swan Diva R3 surround / effects loudspeaker
The Swan Diva R3 shares the German silk dome and one-piece alloy midwoofers of the larger Diva models. Dual 165mm midwoofers and soft dome tweeters are topped with another Swans computer optimized crossover network for the same open, dynamic performance you expect from Diva.
Hand-rubbed black lacquer gives the R3 the same rich, opulent look as the other models, completing this handsome effects loudspeaker. The R3 also comes in an economy Faux Black Cherry vinylwrap (the R3BC). Both use identical, gorgeous hand-laid bentwood cabinets and hand-rubbed black lacquer end caps.
Either way, the very high value, high performance Swan Diva R3 has a rich, exotic look. With thousands shipped, the R3 and R3BC remain the benchmark performers in their class for reference surround loudspeakers.

Swan Diva technology
Tweeter All original Swan Diva main speakers use an A-grade, hand-selected high performance 28mm Danish style soft dome tweeter (effects speakers use a 25mm version.) This device was pioneered by Swan in Internet-direct channels and has stood the test of time. Diva starts with a German silk dome, and adds a Neodymium motor, ferrofluid voice coil cooling, and open-baffle mounting. The end result is an exclusive marriage of technology and engineering that gives Swan Diva high frequencies the neutral, open, spacious, and relaxed sound they've become famous for. The 28mm Diva dome tweeter also has very high power handling, very wide dynamic range, and excellent dispersion, features rarely found in Internet-direct distribution. in this class
Midrange / Midbass Original Swan Diva series loudspeakers at The Audio Insider include either a unique aluminum / magnesium inverted dish midbass driver or a special midrange of some other type depending on intended use. The C3 center channel speaker uses Swan's 50mm high-output, wide-dispersion dome with Neodymium motor. The top of the line 6.1 relies on a special Kevlar / cellulose cone with phasing plug and linear suspension.
Each model features Swan's trademark low-distortion motors, which are unique in-class. The end result is a nearly perfect marriage of power, output, and clean, effortless dynamics.
Woofers The original Swan Diva loudspeakers also originated the use of Swan's distinctive inverted-dish seamless alloy cones in either 5.25", 6.5", or 8" sizes. Swan-developed motor technology - lower in distortion than anything in the class - forms the heart of these excellent low frequency drivers. Combined with long throw, linear suspensions, and ultra-rigid Diva alloy cone material and profile, the new Diva series' bass response is exceptional. Large cabinets mean ample clean bass extension; in fact, Swan Diva is regarded as offering more loudspeaker size, weight, and acoustical horsepower than anything at Diva's prices.
Crossover networks All Diva models, whether the new X.2 series or original classic X.1 series, rely on in-house crossover assemblies - Swan is highly vertically integrated and makes most components from proprietary designs, including drivers and crossover components, including their excellent linear-wound, heavy-gage air core inductors. High-grade polypropylene capacitors round out these circuits, and all designs are formulated and tuned in the largest test chamber in the East.
Cabinets No great speaker is complete without a complimenting enclosure and Swans Diva is no different. Each Diva cabinet is comprised of individual hand-laid strakes applied to a series of CNC-milled internal bulkheads. The final enclosure is finished in either multiple coats of lacquer over spectacular pair-matched Santos Rosewood, or in the case of Faux Black Cherry models, in economical PVC simulated wood. Glossy piano black endcaps complete either variety of Diva cabinetry and give the speakers a rich, opulent, furniture grade look and feel. A Swan Diva is an audio investment that not only lasts a very long time, but holds its value and always returns a sense of owner pride.
