Like the original Swan M1, Swan's upgraded M1B audiophile minimonitor features a black leather baffle, computer-milled cabinet panels, and Swan's best drive units and driver technologies. The M1B is the latest no-compromise reference monitor in a series that has now wowed audiophiles since 1996.

Swan M1B reference class minimonitor
The M1B's planar "ribbon" tweeter has been upgraded to add surface area and power handling. It still has infinitesimal mass and lightning fast response to beyond 30,000 Hz. Powerful Neodymium magnets drive the tweeter's entire surface uniformly, reducing distortion and aiding very high frequency detail.
The M1B's tweeter has a wider bandwidth and lower distortion than domes.
The M1B's midwoofer was especially choosen to compliment the tweeter. This 5" / 115mm driver has been lavished with just about everything HiVi knows about midrange driver technology:
- Kevlar hybrid curvilinear cone for well-managed, flat response
- Special, FEA-optimized, low distortion motor design
- Synthetic butyl rubber surround for linearity and long life
- Linear back suspension for low mechanical distortion
- Dust cap-less design with alloy phase plug for low resonance and high bandwidth
- High temperature voice coil for high power handling
- Heavy cast alloy basket for strength
