Swan M10 active desktop loudspeaker system, white

Swan's hottest 2.1 channel desktop system has been a phenomenon for some time and shows no signs of letting up. Maybe it's the 20mm genuine soft-dome tweeters or the transparent, musical Swan amplification, or maybe it's the dedicated woofer. We think it's all three and more that make the M10 our most successful 2.1 channel system too!

Excellent stereo performance from Swan's smallest, high-output self-powered desktop system

Although it's the most compact 2.1 channel Swan desktop system we carry, we hesitate to call the M10 "multimedia" - it's from the design team that made Swans a household name in great-sounding active desktop loudspeakers and studio monitors. The M10 system is three matching speakers housed in a sleek, contemporary, desktop package with internal amplification - you won't need anything other than your favorite source, whether PC or Mac, laptop or tablet, or personal electronic, music, or gaming device.

For convenient hookup, plug the M10's main bass module into to any local active source using the signal cables supplied, and then connect the easy-to-position micro satellites for best stereo image.

High output for clean, clear sound

Despite the compact size, the M10 has the audio output to fill a room. Surprisingly deep bass is provided by a dedicated bass driver set in its own enclosure, and matching midrange drivers grace the pair of coordinating satellite speakers.

Real Swan dome tweeters provide audiophile-approved highs to 20kHz.  The M10 has more than enough power and fidelity to outplay virtually any comparably-priced multimedia speaker system.

Stylish appearance helps make the M10 Swan's most popular desktop system

The M10's distinctive look includes polished molded pearl-white faces and metal-look cones that resemble the aluminium-magnesium drivers found in the Swan Diva line. Textured black enclosures visually recede into the background, and the large, LED-illuminated chrome volume control is easy to use.

The Swan M10 has matching stereo midrange drivers, and real 20mm dome tweeters deliver excellent highs

The M10's bass module has an illuminated master volume control to indicate power on/off status

Fire up a system anywhere you've got a music source. On-board amplifiers and compact size means the M10's three modules fit nearly any place a big system won't. They'll work with your Mac or OPC, personal player, CD or DVD player, Internet radio, or anything with a line-level signal output.

Join the Swan multimedia family, spin up the digital compilation you just burned this morning, and hear what high-end desktop sound is really all about!

Swan Active Desktop speaker technology

From the entry-level M10 to the top T200b studio monitor, the Swan name has been associated with top audio performance for desktop or studio, while The Audio Insider is known for providing great sound with Internet-direct value. Every Swan Active Desktop loudspeaker system incorporates the highest grade components, design, and value in their category. Count on Swan for a number of important design features that all add up to a superior listening experience...for less!

Substantial size

Acoustical physics simply state that a larger speaker has better efficiency and bass response. Dollar for dollar, Swan Active Desktop speakers are substantial, solid designs - check dimensions and weights to see just how much speaker your money buys...and then compare to anything on the market.

Regardless of price, all multi-way Swan Active Desktop speakers use high performance soft dome tweeters with Neodymium motors. The top T200b employs 28mm Danish-style tweeters with German-made silk domes, while the M200 series models and D1080 series models feature 25mm soft fabric tweeters. Even the economical M10 and D1010IV have 20mm soft dome tweeters. Every Swan speaker in the multi-way category shares similar high frequency treble performance to Swan's Diva home theater speaker offerings.

Midbass / Woofers

Excluding the Swan M10, D1010IV and all fullrange models such as the H2, nearly all Swan Active Desktop loudspeakers use beefy 5.25" woofers - unlike competitors, Swan doesn't use 3", 4", or even 4.5" "woofers" in anything except the very smallest models or in satellite speakers supported by bass systems. Combined with each multi-way model's larger size, you get deep, low-distortion bass, while the excellent sensitivity of a larger system means Swan can employ higher quality, conservatively rated internal amplifiers.

Swan uses very high quality amplifiers and on-board electronics to deliver the clean, clear, musical sound Swan owners have come to depend on. Remarkably, Swan has included renowned audiophile-grade "gainclone" chipset amplification in its powered models, a technology known around the world for some of the most transparent, musically-authentic sound possible ... even in the high end of premium performance home audio amplifiers. Swan is constantly refining their electronics sets so many models are in their second, third, or even fourth generation. See individual product pages in this section for more information and photographs.

Most of the models in the Swan Active Desktop class use substantial enclosures weighing much more than anything in their price class. The M200 series are double-side wall construction, while the top T200b uses a mill-cut aluminum baffle overlay on top of polished black lacquer. The M200MkIII even includes solid milled laminate side planks for a look and value unique in its class.

Very impressed with the sound and dynamics of this system. Excellent sound quality, and while they don't reach ear shattering volume levels, they provide more than enough sound for an average office/room setup, and provide natural bass response, and is adjustable. I had not seen this previously mentioned, but the White has a nice ever so slight pearl effect to it which just adds to the over all look. Definitely worth the price compared to similar systems.

came with a pair of white gloves for the installer, which might be a little over the top. Still, they're an attractive set of speakers.
Hookup is easy; sound quality is excellent. They don't have rattle-the-walls volume, but they are pretty loud. Sound is clean at any volume.
I chose between the Klipsch 2.1 and with several logitechs. The Klipsch came defective, and logitech didn't sound as clean.

Sound quality is excellent. Though the sub is pretty small, it gets quite loud - I usually have the bass set below 50%!
Overall speaker system is ideal for desktops. The system is loud enough for small parties, but are not quite strong enough to blast at a 50+ person house party.
The speakers are definitely a great deal for the price - you would pay twice the price for this quality from better known brands.

I am not audiophile but I can definitely say that speaker sound very nive, without any excessive thrills / frills. Pure music. It is not loud enough for many people but for 10 x 12 room, it is plenty of sound.

Nice packaging (no clue what the gloves were for), slick design, easy to setup, great sound quality, bass is a bit weaker but blends very nicely, and still works (currently owned for 2 weeks).

I own both the Swan D1080MkII08 (now discontinued) and the Swan M10. I have the D1080MkII08 powered monitors hooked up to a 12 inch sub and set LPF using a DAC -- with this setup in a 12x12ft room the music fills the room very good and can wake neighbors if i crank it up all the way. I absolutely love the way my system sounds.

I recently bought the M10's for my little cousin and was not expecting them to be all that crazy judging from the size of the entire system as well as the low price for a complete setup. (they take up half as much space as my personal setup above). I recently got to listen to her set of M10's and the sound was very natural and clear, yet the bass somehow was very punchy and accurate out of a tiny system. I was quite impressed. Although it can't get as loud as mine, they come very close with zero distortion. Definitely a very nice little system!

After having the M10 for almost 2 weeks now I must say I'm thoroughly impressed and pleased with my decision. These blow away my previous bookshelf speakers with very tight highs and mids, and pretty decent bass for what is more of a midwoofer (I'm not huge on thunderous bass for non home theater setups anyways so this was perfect for me. If you're looking for heavy bass you may want to look elsewhere.). Music and games sound great on it. The white set looks phenomenal on my desk next to my white corsair case; the aesthetics really cannot be undervalued with this product. Finally the value of this set is really nice at just $120. The only issue I had with mine was a slight oversight in QC with one of the rubber rests on the bottom of one of the speakers being absent. Not a major issue and an easy fix. Also, I received a pair of white anti-static gloves in my package. Not an issue, just strange and slightly amusing. Again, a fantastic set for the money, and being that this was my first purchase from Swans I greatly look forward to trying their other products in the future.

Definitely worth the money. Didnt sound very good at the beginning but when i left it to play for 5 hours it blew my mind. Amazing! Bass was right, mids were kinda smooth but the treble was somehow lacking crisp. Power amps and DACs would help em. Despite all that, this speaker is certainly the best in its price range.

The Swan M10 are a wonderful set of 2.1 speakers that delivers awesome sound. I read a few reviews before and I was a bit worried, but these speakers proved me wrong. I have them for about a week and still in the process of burning them in, but even so they still sound great. I can hear the highs and lows for my music and the midwoofer works like a charm. It came packaged in a nice box, with cloth bags around each piece. Some people may be annoyed by the blue led on the knob, but it's not a big deal to me. The only interesting thing is the funny thump noise you hear if you turn off the speakers. I've read its due to shielding, but it doesn't really detract from the speakers. For the price of these speakers, they are an awesome buy.

I absolutely love these speakers, not sure what else to say. The sound quality is fantastic. I also like how the volume control is right in front, which makes them good for an office or desk environment. And of course the icing on the cake is that they're just plain attractive - these things look hot on my desk.

Great speaker system. I'm using this speaker setup on my desktop PC, and its very clear and articulate. The bass is not boomy, and is very tight. I'd recommend the Swans to anyone looking for a PC speaker system in the 120 dollar range.

Probably the best speakers I've heard for the price. The bass is quite powerful for the relatively small size of the woofer. The mids and highs are crisp and clear. Is it just me, or is this system starting to sound better? I don't know how that's possible, but I swear it's true. Glad I spent the money!

I received a set of these speakers about 3/4 weeks ago and after a day or so the right speaker began to emit a hum, which progressively got louder over an hour or so until eventually i couldn't listen to the the music anymore. Over the next couple of days I would get about 15 mins of use before the hum would begin again, again increasing in volume over time. Changed speakers around and again the speaker that was plugged into the right output had the dreadful hum. I guess this means there is something faulty with the right output.

The speakers look great and sound great. The sound definitely improved after a couple of days of "breaking in". Not for bass-heads, but for people who like their sounds well-balanced and refined. These are one of the best desktop speakers at this price point.

Packaging was good. Speakers were in packed in styrofoam, inside the official product box, which was then packaged in by an extra thick brown shipping cardboard box.

One thing to note about these though, is that the power switch is located at the BACK of the woofer, and turning it off/on causes a loud POP or THUMP, especially if you have the volume, or bass setting on high. I'm going to try to add a soft start power switch inside sometime down the road. -1 star for this flaw/deficiency. [Swan powered systems are designed to be left on. -TAI Ed.]

Very nice design and sound quality - I spent some time really looking for a perfect solution for my 27" iMAC. Called Audio Insider and they were very helpful. I would give this review 5 stars, but there was a big scratch on the knob of my subwoofer module, a bit unfortunate, since this is a brand new unit.

I have a Bose SoundDock at home which was almost triple the price of the Swan M10's, and I tried out the Logitech Z623 system before purchasing this one.
Bottom line: My mind was blown by these speakers!
At such a price, these speakers can really not be beat.
To start off, setting up the speakers was incredibly easy, and they were ready almost immediately. The first several hours I wore in the woofer, and the sound only improved with time. Now the speakers sound great and look great. People can't help but comment on them, so if you are looking for a great sound system that would also look great wherever you put it, this is an excellent choice. The range of the speakers is great, and I very rarely hear crackling. The highs and mids are clear and full. The woofer can crank out the bass, so although it might not give the same head-pounding bass as some of the speakers on the market, it has the capability to provide above and beyond what I ask of it. If your ears permanently crave overwhelming bass, that is something to consider- these may not be for you. However, for the majority of listeners, these speakers will probably suit your needs. The entire system (woofer included) is supposed to be elevated, so don't plan on putting the woofer on the ground.
Now, about the style. The speakers have piano-white covers (with an option for black). Don't worry though, because they are easy to clean! The speakers also come with a chrome volume knob with a blue backlight that is super classy. However, it creates a decent amount of light, so if you are like me, you will want to turn off the system before you go to sleep. All the units do not have protector screens, which makes the speakers look even nicer, but make sure you don't touch the diaphragm or you could damage the speaker.
So the plusses are clear: fantastic audio, unbeatable price, and a sexy look.
The downsides are that it might be a bit large depending on where you want to put them, but they are small to average compared to other 2.1 systems. Also, the speaker is not grounded so it pops a little when you turn it off (I have it in a surge protector, so for me this is not really an issue). And other than that, I have no complaints. The chords are a good length and everything is built of quality components- something you won't find with many of the other top-selling brands.
Bottom line: GREAT BUY, and if it is sold out, it is probably worth the wait!

Was going to type like 10 pages. Will keep this short :
I am an audio guy.I have B&W, rotel, NAD, HK,paradigm and legacy audio gear.I know sound.
Lost my electrostatic PC speakers in the recent east coast flood.
I listened to about 25 systems from 100-500$. From Klipshe to gigaworks to HK soundsticks and all the rest.
NONE made me happy or even sounded decent to my ears.
Due to one review I read , I took a shot in the dark at the Swan M10.
117 I expected..well...1/2 decent.
Order came fast.Unboxed.Seemed a bit light and small but quality seemed fine.( double boxes, white gloves and speakers in draw string bags..who does that???)

Hooked them up to my brand new 4300$ pc with full HD asus HQ sound card.

Norah Jones was the first song on:
Buttery,HUGE sound stage, real high end and accurate bass. Not just thumpy ,muddy bass. I mean deep, tight, real sounding bass. With my eyes closed the speakers dissapeared. Norah as in front of me and the band to her left and right.
Song after song I was frankly.....shocked and amazed.
Could a powered 117$ speaker system sound THIS good? YES it can, it seems.
It is over a week now, all broken in.Sound is even better.
Granted this will not be as loud as 100-1000 or more WPC.
At the volumes this can make, it rivals a 5000$ system of high end gear.
BTW,for a tiny system it is quite loud.More then enough for a PC system with plenty to spare.

Franky, for 117 bucks ......I don't know how they can sell this. This system sounds better then others costing 4-10X more.

I.M.O. This may be the best deal in ALL of audio.Bang for the buck is HUGE.
I rate this no question 10 / 10

I've had this system installed for over a month now, and the sound quality is fantastic. As other reviewers have mentioned it takes a solid 24+ hours of usage for the sub to "burn in" properly. Initially the bass levels sounded weak and tinny (not tiny, tinny, if that's a word) but when I listen to the system now the bass is very rich. Not overwhelming as this system prioritizes clarity over deep/powerful bass, but since I sit so close to the speakers I don't want bone-rattling bass.

For me I listen almost exclusively to music on this system. For those seeking a home theater experience the Swans M10 is not powerful enough. For streamed music it sounds great, but obviously that music is compressed. When I listen to my lossless music (off of my laptop) the quality of the system really comes out.

One note for those of you who live in areas with high amounts of radio frequency (RF) interference: be prepared to spend a little extra money. I noticed a significant amount of RF interference after installation. I live in an old apartment in a dense urban area, so no surprise. I could hear a radio station playing through the speakers when the system was powered on but there was no input hooked up. According to one of the techs at Audio Insider that I talked to this was because of the wideband amplifier that Swans uses. This amplifier produces better sound characteristics but is more susceptible to RF interference. I spent some extra cash on buying a few ferrite cores to wrap around the source and power cables (not the speaker leads), then I purchased some triple-shielded speaker leads as extensions. While the problem was not eliminated it was significantly reduced to the point where I don't worry about it now.

Overall, very happy with the system, and it looks great.

These speakers are gorgeous first off and the sound quality isn't too far off the mark either.Mids and highs are very crisp, this is very noticeable in vocal heavy songs. If you're in need of some booming bass, look elsewhere. This speaker is designed strictly for music with its clear mids and highs and tight bass.

As soon as I plugged the Swan M10 into my laptop I was surprised by the crispness and clarity of these speakers. They do feel pretty light and not super high quality. On the midwoofer it appears some of the cover near the top is peeling slightly. But, I've had them running for about a week and they're sounding better and better. They're also pretty good for movies(watched Transformers 3) but you have to turn the bass knob on the back all the way up or there's not enough low end. On the downside, the blue led lighting on the volume knob is a pain in ass especially when the midwoofer must sit on your desk. I have to put my monitor in front of the midwoofer while watching movies and turn the speakers off at night cuz they're way too bright. Guess I'm going to have to pop the speakers open just to clip off those leds.

Wow is all I can say. I don't think there is a better sounding system on the market at this price point. The quality of reproduction is quite amazing. I thought the 5 inch "subwoofer" (which is more of a midbass) was going to be underwhelming as some have mentioned, but it is actually incredibly accurate and more than substantial for it's job. The whole system sounds great with music or movies and as others have mentioned, positioning the 5 inch woofer at around ear level (not on the floor) at close to the same plane as the sats produces the best results. You will not be disappointed with this system. Another note: If you don't like the "Apple White" faceplates on the sats, they are easily removable revealing a tasteful bare front speaker with both drivers nicely mounted with 4 screws each, all black underneath. Unfortunately the 5 inch woofer's white faceplate is not removable (at least not without some modification.)

So far I'm loving these speakers. For just over $100 these make for a great value. They came greatly packaged even with some white gloves (which seem to be meant to be worn by a child, or maybe I just have big hands haha) These are great for music but just mediocre for dialogue reproduction. They no way match my M&K S-150's for that. Though, I shouldn't be comparing these speakers with something high end. The only con I can think of is there's no way to disable the blue LED light that surrounds the volume knob while the speakers are on. Other highlights are that these speakers are very aesthetically appealing as PC desktop speakers.

The M10 system is a very tight system. Out of the box, you can tell a difference in the balance compared to generic computer speakers such as Logitech. After 24 hours of straight music, the speakers really open up and sound amazing. While it may not have the window rattling base of a Logitech system, the highs and lows are extremely accurate. Music sounds amazing and the bass is super tight and doesn't wash out the music. For movies and videos, you may need to adjust the woofer to accomodate for voice, but the speakers work equally well for multimedia apart from music as well.

I would suggest keeping the woofer on the table alongside you speakers as it carries the sound better and is overall more convenient because the volume and bass knobs are connected to the woofer. The fact they look amazing is also another reason to keep the woofer visible.

The only downside I see is that there is no headphone jack, no wired remote for level adjustments and that you cannot turn off the Blue LED that surrounds the volume knob.

Overall I would highly recommend these speakers. They sound amazing and are the best speakers I own (for my computer). Swan is a really great brand and I would encourage people to try them. The M10s are a great introduction into the Brand and like me they M10s will convince you to explore more into their offerings.

Great set of 2.1 computer speakers. Sound crisp and clear with nice bass for a small sub. The only thing I'm even a little disappointed about is the build quality of the 2 satellite speakers. The sub is built very well, while the 2 satellites seem to be constructed with thinner wood. Still, they look and sound awesome.

Beautiful sound, great look. I'm still not out of the 'burn in' period, but this system sounds great. I mostly listen to metal music and it accentuates the mids and highs quite nicely. The bass is more than enough, and can get quite low for being a 'mid-woofer'. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone. Looks sexy as well.

Swan M10's

The sound from these speakers is phenomenal compared to many other 2.1 speakers on the market. For example, when compared to the Logitech Z623, the Swan M10's dominate in terms of sound quality and clarity. (For this review, I will use the Logitech Z623 for comparison at some points).

Further of not is the fact that the Swan M10 subwoofer isn't a subwoofer per say as it isn't delivering bass but more of a mid-bass and as a result is to be kept on the desk rather than beneath it. To many, this may appear to be a con of the product; DON'T BE FOOLED, THIS IS GOOD.

Why? Simply because the bass is meant to UNDERLIE and carry music, not drown it out like most other 2.1 sets do by ramping up the bass at the cost of the mids and highs. For my applications, music, gaming (RPG's, fighting, action, NO SHOOTERS), and watching videos on the internet these speakers deliver where it counts; clarity and quality

Another thing to take note of is the fact that these speakers have, both, woofers and tweeters as you may have already noted. It may not seem to be a very important design choice at first with other 2.1 systems boasting "full range drivers". The thing is, most full range drivers aren't even close to being "full range" and the M10's inclusion of drivers dedicated to their frequency range is a very good choice and when listening to music and comparing side by side with the Logitech's the difference is quality of the mids and high's is like day and night.

The cross-over between drivers is also very good. I say this from listening to the speakers, NOT from just looking at numbers given by the manufacturer. The sub-woofer isn't emitting sounds that the midwoofer should. In comparison, the Logitech Z623's subwoofer delivers more of the mid range which is also overshadowed because the subwoofer is playing it's drowning and muddy bass.

The back of the "subwoofer", more like a midwoofer (once again, this is a GOOD THING), unfortunately does heat up. Don't put it close to a wall, but then again, putting a sub close to a wall gives a more "boomy" sound so it shouldn't be very close to it in the first place. Just keep it in a ventilated area ON THE DESK.

Take note that the "subwoofer" needs to overcome a break-in period to unlock it's hidden potential. It also lacks a grill or any type of protection for the driver; it's exposed. Same deal with the satellites drivers as well, totally exposed.

My main problem with these speakers is that I had to send them in for replacement because the right channel was noticeably lacking in volume and mid range frequencies. This is a quality control issue, not a design flaw.

When the volume knob was turned up slowly, the satellite (either one) hooked up to the left channel started playing but the one on the right channel was 100% quiet. When the volume was turned up even more, the right channel kicks in but is still not as loud and is missing sounds in the mid range or playing them very weakly in comparison to the amazing sound from the left channel.

Overall, these are very good speakers and the only problem I have heard of, but not experienced, is radio and GSM tuning into these speakers, even when not plugged into a sound source. Once again, appears to be a quality control issue, not a flaw in the speakers overall design.

Sound Quality: 5/5
Clarity: 5/5
Sub: 5/5 (yay, for not being a farty bass, but a crisp and tight one)
Satellites: 4/5 [ :( QC issue ]
Appearance/Design: 4/5 (No grill to protect drivers)
Overall: 5/5

good sounding speakers, bass is adequate but not ideal for very bassy stuff. good looking, maybe a bit cheap feeling however. good highs and mids thought, good for rock music

I'm giving 5 stars because the speaker set came in a timely fashion and in perfect condition. The sound seems a little tinny, but I understand as the speakers are broken-in they will sound much better. [Bass level is adjusted on the back of the subwoofer. -TAI Editor]

These speakers are an AMAZING value. Replaced a $200 5.1 surround sound system with these and the difference is beyond noticeable. Very clean sound even at high volumes. No more crackling when the volume is turned up like my old speakers would do. I'm very pleased with the product and with the service from Audio Insider.

Honestly could not be happier with these speakers! Amazing quality and amazing depth from such a small package. They look great and you'd have to be insane to pass these up! I will say that it truly is a "mid-woofer" as opposed to a traditional deep sub so don't be upset if you don't get really deep bass/low notes but it still kicks plenty! A+

Nice sound from the M10's but I think the price could come down a little. They would be a great value if it wasn't for the $50 in shipping. [Average shipping is under $15 in the US - TAI Editor]

The Swan M10's are more value than what the price makes you believe. They could easily charge $200 for these and get it. The Highs and Mid's are precise and resonate with beautiful sound. The Low's and Bass were surprisingly powerful for a Sub woofer of the size. This is an example of quality engineering. If you choose to buy anything but these, you are an idiot!

I honestly don't know where to start... This is such a great product for the price.

The sound stage in these speakers is AMAZING. Crystal clear sound with just the right amount of bass. If you're a bass-head, you probably will be disappointed with the low end but for me, it is just the perfect amount. Very strong mids and highs (which was what I was looking for). You just can't get anything better for this price.

The quality of the speakers is exceptional. The design is very pleasing to the eye; doesn't look plain yet doesn't look overdone. It has quality written all over it.

The packaging is great also. Comes with a line-out to stereo cable, some (extremely undersize) gloves, and each speaker comes in a nice pull-tight bag.

I would definitely recommend these to a friend. I have gamed with these speakers too and they are great. Just great all-around multi-media speakers.

These speakers are very good for the money. They look very contemporary yet sophisticated.

Only con is that from my preference, the music is not "deep" enough. But this is my perspective as my old speakers were the 2.1 Altec Lansing FX 6021 which was three times the price.

Overall they are premium speakers with an affordable price.

I recently purchased a set of M10s and they are beautiful! The sound quality is fantastic--clear and crisp, and accurately representative of the full range of notes. They handle a wide spectrum of volumes gracefully, and their appearance is sleek and classic. They are definitely worth the price and you will not be disappointed. In fact, they even improve as the bass loosens up and the highs settle in--they are so impressively clear that I can hear individual bow strokes listening to an Itzhak Perlman recording. Thank you, Swan!

For the price, nothing can beat the sound. I dont like heavy heavy bass so these were perfect for me. Build quality is excellent. From the fit and finish to the volume knob, everything on these speakers screams polish. I would not hesitate to recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a VERY good set of 2.1 speakers which is affordable but does not skimp on the quality of the sound coming out of them.

Then M10's are both easy on the eyes and the ears. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is the shortness of the cables.

i have a 27" Apple Cinema Display next to a 17" macbook pro which I have on an M-Stand. The wires are too short for the right speaker to be put on the side of the laptop, so I have to instead put the speaker between the display and the laptop. A simple extension cord should fix this problem without much money.

Despite their size, these speakers can pack quite a punch. I would describe the sound as open, separated, and clean. The mids and highs are vivid and sound just great. The Swans M-10 bring a certain levity to the music, approaching on bright. For the price, the M10s are a great value and I highly recommend them.

I am not an audiophile but after listening to Swan M10s for two weeks now, I have to say I am hugely impressed. The sound quality on my Macbook Pro has vastly improved; I am currently re-listening to my entire iTunes library simply because listening is such a pleasure. I debated whether to purchase a relatively unknown brand to me (Swans) based solely reviews from certain audiophile websites, and I have to say it seems to be a worthy purchase. Time will tell if the construction and build quality lasts, but for ~150.00 shipped, longevity really doesn't matter too much.

I am giving the Swan M10s 4 out of 5 stars because occasionally I hear cracking/popping noise coming from them, even listening at moderate level. I cannot tell if this is product of my (integrated) soundcard, the speakers, or source files (MP3s and some FLAC). Oh, and the shipping time--see below.

I will say that while I had a great purchasing experience with the Audio Insider, I thought the shipping time was ridiculous. It took nearly a full week to get my purchase; this is totally unreasonable. The processing took about 2 days or so and physical transportation was another 4 or 5. For $20 shipping, I think [FedEx] could do much better, much better. Next time I know to upgrade the shipment means despite the increased cost because the wait time was much too long with their standard service.

Shopped around and looked at and listened to a fair amount of 2.1 systems for my imac. On a mac forum a few people had raved about the Swans M10s and what a great value they are for the quality of the finished product, and most importantly, the sound. They were right. These speakers are beautiful and sound fantastic. They are not earth-shaking speakers, but they produce a very pleasing , rich sound that seems to get better after a bit of burn in (esp the sub). I am completely happy with the purchase and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a very well-rounded 2.1 speaker system. You won't find another set at this price that look as nice sitting on the desk and have the sound to match. A+

I don't think that the combination of quality and price can be matched anywhere for computer speakers like these. The sound quality is excellent especially for music. If you're using it to watch a lot of movies you might be a little disappointed that you don't get the "rumble" from the bass module. However, it's the lack of "rumble" that helps make the music so crystal clear. The bass is there, it just doesn't shake and vibrate.

Not only do they sound great, but they look very stylish sitting next to my iMac.

I'm very happy with my purchase!

Very impressive the Swan M-10 2.1 system. For the price I can't imagine a better deal for high quality desk top music speakers. The online chatter praising these is accurate. I couldn't be more pleased. Far, far better system than the Altecs and Logitechs, etc., you see in the consumer electronics stores. Cheers and happy listening.

Just received these...Simply beautiful. I have these hooked up to my HP Envy beats edition ("IDT" codec on the sound card, other computer brands out there do have it, in case anyone was curious) and for a while I was beginning to wonder if it was worth the extra cost for premium audio...Either it really was or these speakers just work magic. Probably a combination as anyone knows w/ the audio game, it's always that weakest piece that eventually kicks you in the butt. Anyway, these speakers are great and are definitely not the weakest item in the group...Not even the sub/mid woofer that some people have complained about (typically when they set it on the floor). Well from across the room -OK- but you aren't looking at these to power a living room. I haven't tried allll of the speakers out there but from enough research and listening I can say that I personally believe you can't find a better quality set that offer as much range at such a good price. If you're just listening to music at your desk/office/small room, these are most definitely the speakers to get. Plus, come on, look at how pretty.

Excellent set of speakers. These sound much better than any speakers I've gotten with OEM PC's. They even sounded refreshing, though still not quite as good, when compared to my Sennheiser HD580 Headphones. Vocals sound like honey through these. I highly recommend these as budget speakers without sacrificing much quality.

My swam M10's just came in today. Hooked them up to my macbook and i must say they are very impressive. I have the sub on my desk, haven't tried to put it on the floor yet (maybe later though). I don't find the sub to be lacking too much like I've read in other reviews. It took kinda a while for my order to be processed but then once shipped they were here in no time (only one day late). The high's and mid's are insane, very crisp and clear and the sub balances the set out. They are very striking to look at, very slick and modern. Overall these speakers kick ass.

Not only was it fast delivery/well packaged/ but once you hook up the system, AMAZING! If you're tired of those other brands blowing out on you or just completely breaking, these are the speakers for you. I finally decided to invest in some speakers because I was tired of the other brands. These speakers are hands down THE BEST desktop speakers I've ever owned. Ultimately sleek, amaaaazing sound quality, and priced at $109.00, just cant beat it whatsoever. You'd be a fool not to own these.

These speakers are awesome! I have them hooked up to my computer, and I couldn't enjoy them more. I like to listen to my music very loud all the time. I've had these for 6 months with no issues and the bass knob is always set at 95%. Swan makes a high quality speaker. The best feature about the Swan M10's is that you can turn the volume up past your personal tollerance, and there is virtually no distortion. My only complaint is that the volume knob is on the sub, which I have to place at my feet due to space issues. I just leave the volume knob at about 20% and adjust the volume from my computer. TIP: I found that the sub rattles a little bit. To remedy this, I carefully opened the sub-box up, and duck-taped the inside of the port tube. At first I was worried that this might cause ventillation issues, but all the electrical components stay perfectly cool. I reccomend this tip to anyone who owns these. It sounds way better!
